Chiropractic Care for Pregnant Women

Recently I have been asked a number of questions about chiropractic care and ergonomics for pregnant women such as how does a chiropractor care for a pregnant patient?

Yes, I have and do work with with women who are pregnant. In fact, chiropractic care while pregnant can be very comforting, relieving a lot of the aches and pains that come with "the experience."

I will typically do manual adjusting of the spine.  But as the patient gets further along into the pregnancy, I will modify the treatment.

For instance, in terms of lower back pain I may switch to activator adjusting of the lower back instead of the traditional side-posture or drop table adjusting of the lower back.

Selection of treatment really does depend on the patient and the stage of the pregnancy. Each case is unique. If you would like to speak to me more about some of the things you are experiencing, please send an email.
